What We Count

  • Words - Sequences of characters separated by spaces
  • Characters - All characters including spaces
  • Chars (no spaces) - Characters excluding spaces
  • Sentences - Text ending with . ! or ?
  • Paragraphs - Text blocks separated by empty lines
  • Reading Time - Based on average 200 words per minute
